I guess its too late when the bird is dead-
As long as the bird is alive, you can have them sexed.
You can even do it yourself-
In the back of birdtalk magazine there are 1-800 # of several DNA texting labs-
It doenst cost anything more than $20-
You call the #, and they will mail you a test card.
You pull out a blood feather from the tail area and drop a spot of blood on the card.
Mail the card with your check and in about 2 weeks you will recieve a little 5X7 birth certificate that says ....(birds name) is a boy/girl.

The only thing that having your bird sexed does is let you know whether it is a male or female. They usually do it from a feather or blood sample. And it's never too late, but it's also not necessary unless you want to breed them.

No it just tells you the sex of the bird, boy or girl. Nothing you can do will calm them down they have to be who they are. Just like you do.

a dna sample can also identify your bird if its lost or stolen. Most services keep good records.
