We have an old house, and wiring in new phone jacks is alot of work. Can you buy a wirless jack that connects with another in the house. What is the range and approx, cost?

Sorry...it is for a DSL hookup. We have cordless phones.

why not just buy a cordless phone, and if you need more then one just use a splitter, if you need jacks for computers , there may be , because i have a dsl hook up, and i can add more computers to it, because it is wirless

Unfortunately, phone jacks provide several signals at odd voltages with different grounding than household devices. This is because phone jacks still have to be compatible with equipment from the 1920's as well as today's ultramodern stuff. It's actually pretty neat what functions the phone company can support through just 2 wires, but it requires the phone company to have direct contact with the phone device. So, cordless phones are your best way to go here. It looks like there's a wireless DSL phone router available these days:

I don't know if it's for wireless phones or not, but it sounds like it will work. Plus, according to the website, it's got a huge rebate right now, so check it out!

However I'm not sure if it is compatible with DSL. For that, you're probably still best to go with a wireless router setup.
