Is there any work in the South to be found for a recently unemployed Michigan worker?

There are many jobs available in the New Orleans area. The oil and gas industry can not find enough people, nor can the construction trades. The service industry is understandably slow at the moment.

i do business with someone who just moved from michigan. he's now moving the whole family down. skilled labor is probably the single biggest shortage besides housing in general. better be serious tho and ready to commit to at least a year's worth of hard work.
