Ok, I know what highlighted hair is, I have been highlighting my hair for a while but I found these terms: splices, slices, and chunks.
What does that mean? I know they are larger sections of hair highlighted instea of strands but pictures would be nice or a detailed explanation. Please help?

Splices, slices, and chunks all refer to pretty much the same thing: taking a much larger number of hairs to highlight (bleach) at a time than you do with either traditional strands (with a comb and foils) or with a cap (cap and hook) method.

Instead of taking the hair and sectioning it into very small pieces (as with strand highlighting) you take a much larger section (and thus a lot more hair at once. When you lighten this larger amount of hair, there is a distinct difference between the highlighted and the non-highlighted sections. Instead of even gradations, there are typically pretty visible divisions, and the effect can be used to heighten the visual effect of layering or other cutting techniques.

chunks obviously is larger highlights, slices or slicing refurs to the meathod of how the highlights are done, when using the slicing meathod you take a small section of hair & "slice" out a smaller section to be hightlighted. There's also the weaving meathod, you do the same as slicing but instead of slicing the hair you weave the comb in & out of the strand which ends up weaving the section to be highlighted, it ends up looking like smaller streaks.

this would be easier if I could actually show you eactly what I was talking about

there is little doubt that when we dye our hair and do different remedies, it does decrease its high quality compared to the way it develop into previously. to that end, it actually relies upon on what products are getting used and the position you've it done. so long because the parlor you bypass to is professional and makes use of secure products, i imagine you'd be thoroughly superb! everyone does it so i don't think of there is something to be stricken about. sturdy success with your highlights!
