Cheese isn't necessarily bad for dogs, it's just not the healthiest thing that they could be eating. It won't poision them or anything. I give my dog a little bit of cheese as a treat or reward for good behavior, but too much cheese gives her diarrhea.
Hope this helps!

There are a few real keys to dog training, whether you are trying to train your dog to come when called, sit, stop barking or any other behavior. Understanding their importance is critical to achieving rapid results that are long lasting and help develop the bond between you and your dog. Read more here https://bitly.im/fYffG
The first is simple; you must win your dogs mind. If you don’t achieve this first then you will be struggling the all the way. When I talk about winning your dogs mind what I really mean is that your dog looks to you for all the decisions. Before you do anything else watch one of the amazing video sites that show you the 5 Golden rules to establishing yourself as the pack leader. If you aren’t putting these in place then you are setting yourself up to fail. Just at the crucial point where you really want your dog to listen they will go and do their own thing. For sure your dog may play ball occasionally or even most of the time, you may even have a dog that is obedient 99% of the time, however if you want a dog who always listens to you and does as you ask then you need to win your dogs mind.
The second key to success is to motivate your dog. It is really important that you discover what it is that your dog enjoys both in terms of exercise and play but also in terms of a reward. If you can make the experience enjoyable then you will both achieve more and look forward to training.
Some dogs love to fetch, others love agility, and other dogs simply love obedience training, or swimming out into water and retrieve. At least to start with find out what your dogs love is and help them develop this, what I am saying is work with your dog. The other point to recognize is to make training enjoyable reward your dog.

A Veterinarian I know says these kinds of cheese are especially bad for dogs:
Port wine cheese
Spray can cheese
There are certain ingredients in there that make it not good for dogs. It messes up their colon.
Regular cheese in blocks should be OK though, just in moderation though!

Small amounts of cheese given every so often as a treat are ok. Milk and dairy products are not good for dogs, because dogs, like all mammals with the exception of humans, become lactose intolerant after they are weaned off of their mother's milk. The gene allowing humans to digest lactose is a more recent mutation, which is why 75% of people on the planet are still lactose intolerant. Europeans digest lactose the best, while most Asians and Africans can not digest lactose.

I'm doing basic obedience right now. My trainer hasn't once handled my dog. He has shown me how to handle my dog by using his own dog but that's about it. The reasoning is that I need to learn how to do these basic corrections and what not myself. Learn more https://tinyurl.im/Z5FIj
I have never considered sending my dog away for training. I guess I haven't found that much of a problem with him to even think about it.
Again, it may also have to do with the level of training you are looking for etc. No idea lol. I'm not a trainer. I think a first time dog owner needs to learn simple commands and how to handle their dog themselves as well.

Obviously not, that's what my vet suggested to wrap my dog's pills in so he'd eat them without having to force them down. But one answerer is correct, it's not the healthiest thing for them to be eating. But a little nibble every now and then will not hurt them.

No we give our dogs cheese every day. But watch what kind it is....ie. Havartie, blue cheese (not good for dogs).
And we're not losers...Why would they put it in dog treats like marroBones? (to missy rockergrl202)
