Is there free software that many people can connect to a computer at once?

I'm looking for a piece of software that is like Citrix Presentation Server, or Microsoft Terminal Server where many users can connect simultaneously to a server and they each see their own desktop. I'm looking for mainly open source, or very cheap software that can do this.

It doesn't exist specifically as you describe. You need Windows Server 2003, but it is not free but rather $800.

All other software (like VNC) will not give you seperate desktops.
