(include BBQing in a park near beach, fun attractions, shadey sections in the park, basketball courts, lots of room for activities)
-i thought santa monica pier & beach would be a good idea, but a person told me the beach isn't that fun/clean or something like that.

Venice Beach just a mile south of Santa Monica Beach. There's a pedestrian only walkway along the beach with all sorts of shopping, crazy performance artists, food places, bathrooms, swings, volley ball, roller blade ampitheatres for skateboards too, showers, bbq equipment, you name it.

Go very early in the morning to the Muscle Beach area and watch the very buff men working out with weights at the beachside park. Easy on the eyeballs...LOL.

The best location should be the Marina Del Rey or Seal Beach.
Marina Del Ray has a lot of class and most of the people their are georgeous.
Seal Beach is the best couples setting it is small but very romantic has several nice eating places and the people are the most respectable people you ever wanted to meet. I speaking on the locals. They rock !!!

Well go a little south of there to Venice Beach...depends on what's fun for you..
