water is best, the point of Gatorade is to replace electrolytes and minerals lost while sweating, but it has a lot of sugar in it also. so it is best to have at the end of your workout, not the start.

The point of Gatorade is to replace the electrolytes lost during strenuous physical activity. Electrolytes can be compaired to the spark plugs in a car. They give the muscle their first explosive charge in order to put the muscle into motion. Gatorade can replace these electrolytes. However, it contains lots of sugar and food colorings etc.. The healthier alternative is to take fresh water, add some lemon juice and just a touch of honey to the mix, and you have yourself an all natural gatorade.

Water. Gatorade is full of sugar. If you drink sugary drinks while you are working out you are negating any of the calorie burning effects of excercising. Especially this is true for losing weight - if you are burning calories and then decide to eat calories, your body gets confused, and stops burning them as fast.
Water is the better choice. Water with electolytes added will help hydrate you faster than water alone. If you don't want to pay for that, just add a small amount of salt to your water (such that you can't even taste it). Also a good addition is salt substitutes (which contain potassium). These electroyltes will also help you replace those you lose through sweating.

Gatorade is more for extemely active athletes. Those people sweat out too many nutrients, but that is when you are sweating hard for hours at a time. If you are just doing basic work outs, go with water, or Propel fitness water.

A lot of people say water. I tend to agree. Water and plenty of it through out the day is best. But I also have heard even doctors say the if you are doing a lot of physical activity especially in the heat that the electrolytes in some sport drinks can be very good for you. Even when you are sick. Vomiting and dehydrated.

um, they have proven that gatorade helps rejuvenate your body. On the other hand, nothing is better than fresh water. I'd say water, if you are like sweating and stuff.

i ought to represent iced tea with a clean fruit slice for flavoring. that way its were given a lot of style, and no sugar or man made sweeteners, and hence not one of the energy you eat in gatorade. also, except you're an energetic athlete, and are actually dropping all those minerals and salts with suggestions from heavy hour lengthy stretches of cardio exercising, there is easily no reason to drink gatorade. tea even if does actually require refrigeration, even if the way round it really is to purchase an decrease priced beverage cooler (imagine Igloo, with the little spout on the bottom) and make a quart of tea with ice. slice an entire lime, lemon or orange and toss into the cooler and take the completed element to artwork. you could sit down the cooler on your table & drink glasses finished as needed. it ought to stay cool maximum of an 8 hour workday. tea itself is low cost so that you're going to save money regular, regardless of the fee of the cooler.
