A well-balanced diet with a little bit of everything fruit, veg, whole grain - but if you're talking about foods most potent in nutrients essential to survival then first on the list is MILK and second is beans and foods in the bean family - you can't live on those foods though - no such thing as a healthy food - just a healthy diet - think about it lettuce is healthy - but if you eat like a rabbit - you get annorexic and die.

a HOME made 7-layer burrito with salsa.
wheat flour tortilla
Lettuce
tomato
beans(cookes well)
skim cheddar cheese
low fat sour cream and galcmoli
Salsa
tomato jalpeno onion parsely lemon juice
sicne it got every thing
Salad is lacking fulfillemnt and you get hungry faster because that gets digested faster.
Also you need complex carbs which you don't get in salad.
Also home made food is more healthy.
Junk food or food that been fried unhealty
Also For salade peopel overlook the dressing. Ranch is a big NO NO

Vegetarian.
Here's why.
What is Cholesterol? Cholesterol is a type of fat made by your liver. Cholesterol is a waxy substance found in all parts of your body. It helps make cell membranes, some hormones, and vitamin D. Cholesterol comes from two sources: your body and the foods you eat. Blood cholesterol is made in your liver. Your liver makes all the cholesterol your body needs. Dietary cholesterol comes from animal foods like meats, whole milk dairy foods egg yolks, poultry, and fish. Eating too much dietary cholesterol can make your blood cholesterol go up. Foods from plants, like vegetables, fruits, grains, and cereals, do not have any dietary cholesterol.

Flaxseeds. Pomegranates. Nuts, like walnuts or almonds. Marilyn Vos Savant said that if she could only eat one thing that was nutritionally balanced, it would be monkey chow. Then somebody wrote in and said, well, couldn't you make a pizza with all the necessary nutrients in it? She said, oh, yeah. Pizza instead of monkey chow. World's smartest woman--ha! If being the world's smartest means having to eat monkey chow, then I'll skip it.

Fruits are very good for you, but there are a number of foods that are better for males than females and vice versa. For example: Men should eat watermelons, and women should eat avocados for certain health benefits.

What Does Your Body Need?
Nutritional requirements vary from person to person, depending on age, sex, size, level of activity, and other factors. For specific recommendations suited to your needs, talk to a doctor, registered dietitian, or your student health office or nutritional counselor at your university. In general, however, your diet should provide you with a balance of protein, dairy products, carbohydrates, vegetables, and fruits.

I've heard if you could only live off of one thing it should be some type of green bean. They have lots of vitamins and most of the stuff you need. Plus they're low calorie and keep you full.
