Stevenson and Savon are great answers as the Cuban boxers fought in multiple Olympics because they never turn pro.

The 1976 US Olympic boxing team is considered the best ever for a few reasons. It produced a lot of future professional champions. It won 5 gold medals to Cuba's 3 in the last Olympics to match the two countries during their boxing primes (USA boycotted in 1980, Cuba boycotted in 1984). The USA won gold with Leo Randolph, Howard Davis, Sugar Ray Leonard, Michael Spinks and Leon Spinks. The Cubans won gold with Teofilo Stevenson, Angel Herarra (another great Cuban boxer) and Jorge Hernandez.

Thank you for your question.

The two greatest Olympic boxers of all times are Teofilo Stevenson of Cuba, Laszlo Papp of Hungary and Felix Savon of Cuba. Both men won gold medals in three successive Olympics.

Laszlo Papp won in London (1948) as a middleweight then fought in Helsinki (1952) and Melbourne (1956) as a light middleweight. Papp, despite having hand trouble, turned professional in 1957, and immediately began rising on boxing's Middleweight ranks.

But professional boxing was outlawed in Hungary, which was a communist country at the time, and he was never allowed to perform in his home country. Furthermore, Papp had to travel to Vienna, Austria each time he was going to train for a fight. Nevertheless, Papp was able to beat each of the top ranked contenders put in front of him, including veteran Tiger Jones, before challenging Chris Christensen for the European Middleweight title. He knocked out Christensen to become Europe's champion, then defeated American fighter Randy Sandy.

Just then, as Papp was about to get a shot at world championship, Hungary's government, perhaps enraged that he challenged their ban of professional boxing by travelling abroad to fight, revoked his right to travel, forcing him into retirement in 1962. Papp has since been the subject of many boxing discussions, boxing fans debating whether he could have been a world champion or not. There have been a few books written about him, and he was inducted into the International Boxing Hall Of Fame in 2001.

Teofilo Stevenson was born in Puerto Padre, Cuba. His father Teófilo was an immigrant from Saint Vincent. His mother Dolores was a native Cuban, but her parents were immigrants from Saint Kitts. As a result he can speak English well. He won a gold medal as a heavyweight in 1972 at Munich, 1976 in Montreal and 1980 in Moscow. In 1976, he was offered a shot at the heavyweight professional title and five million to fight against Mohammed Ali but refused saying "What is one million dollars compared to the love of eight million Cubans?". The Cuban boycott of the Los Angeles Olympics in 1984 cost him a shot at a record fourth but he defeated the eventual gold medallist Tyrell Biggs in a match in that year.

Felix Savon is the most contemporary boxer winning gold medals in Bercelona in 1992, Atlanta 1996 and Sydney 2000. He won his first important titles in 1985. Besides winning the Cuban heavyweight title (which he would win each year until his retirement), he won the Junior World Championships.

This set off his career, in which he would win 6 World Championships (though one of these was the result of the disqualification of an opponent) and three Olympic gold medals.
After winning his third Olympic gold at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Savón announced his retirement at age 33.

I have enclosed sources for your reference on all three boxers.
