Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. I'm wondering if anybody can convince me that I do or don't need to worry about it.

I don't but I should - I have heard that due to the number of mice/rats in the stock building that you could get diseases from the feces on the cans. I haven't yet caught anything from not rinsing my cans, so I don't see a problem with not doing it.

You no that is a good question I never really thought of that before. No I don't clean the tops of the cans when I have one, so thank goodness I don't drink out of cans much.

Yup, I sure do. The places where the cans are stored have insects and rodents that poopy all over the cans. There was a 20/20 special on it a long time ago.

No I don't!! I mean if there is something on it than yeah, or course I will clean, but just to clean it because it MIGHT be dirty. Nope, I don't do that! I think you have a disorder or some kind, the kind where you like have to be clean, or are you just a germapho!!!

No, I have a freind that does every time he comes to my house If I offer him a drink he always cleans the top, it is kind of an insult.

I clean the tops of all cans. There have been reports of rodents and bugs running on these. And heaven knows what else. And it only takes a second to do.

hi. my husband works for cocacola and highly recommends washing the can before drinking from it, especially shop bought or from vending machines. there are many processes the drinks go thru before they hit the shelves and many people handle them so the germ factor would be very high. not to mention the vermin in warehouses where the drinks are stored

yes I do! because some people have told me that the cans sometimes are in stock for a long time, so they can get dirt, or animals (like spiders, rats and who knows what else) can go through them (yuck!).. I don't know if it's true, but if it is or is not, better to clean it! don't you think? :D

Well, I would, being a nurse and knowing about germs and viruses, especially the new ones that can live for days on a surface and are passed easily by the human hand. No doubt about it!!!! If you don't I wish you luck!!!! Who knows who touched that can before you. The stocker who picked his nose or scratched his a''' before handling the cans. lol

I wouldn't worry about it. What is the chance of a problem with it? Not everyone washes veggies and fruits too. If you are hesitant---Just wipe off with a clean cloth. My mom tells me to wash all fruits and veggies-- It must be the generation!!
