Just riding a bike may not be sufficient. You may need to pay attention to a lot other things that should be happening to your body.
- First of all you should carry some water, a bottle or two should do good.
- Never ride the bike with your stomach full.
- Never ride in the evening, when smog and pollution is heavy. The best time is in the early morning, when the air is fresh and your intake of air will be pure.
- Riding a bike is pointless if you do not sweat or get your heart racing. Getting a good solid, thorough heart beat, is what will keep your heart healty. If 4-6 miles does not get that heart racing or the sweat pouring, then go an extra mile or two.
- Given all of this. Do not push yourself over the limit. Know when you should stop if it gets too uncomfortable.
- Don't forget the water bottles, if you sweat too much, you will need the water.

Hell yes - but ofcourse be careful where you place them nuts on the seat - they say that prolonged bike riding at a young age can cause a little trouble down there if you know what i mean - Don't wana have trouble getting your peter up and having kids - but cardio is awesome yep yep - You're doing very good - healthy as hell - plus take the advice of the person answering above 'you should get a specialized seat to protect your most vital organ lol' - and make sure you eat well with all this exercise - get the right vitamins and stuff and some calories for all the energy you're burning.

It's fine. In fact, depending on what you want to get out of excercise, you may not be doing enough. For example, as part of my weight loss program, I ride a bike for 20 miles a day. I'm no athlete, and I certainly can't ride with the best of them, but I do what I can. 4-6 miles a day is certainly a good start.

It's a great way to keep your muscles, heart and lungs strong, as well as your joints loose. Another part of being physically fit is eating healthy and keeping yourself hydrated.
In other words, there are people who get plenty of good exercise like you are, but they have a poor diet. So even though they're "fit", they aren't necessarily healthy.
Riding your bike 4-6 miles/day is a great way to get your exercise.
Be sure to also give your body the right fuel it needs by eating right, drinking plenty of water (especially when exercising & in summer weather) and also, getting enough rest.

As long as you aren't sore for the following days, pulling muscles, or just generally feeling bad from the work out, I would say it's perfectly healthy.
I have a friend that runs 20 miles a day (I don't know where he finds the time!) so I would assume that you are doing great!

Yes, its healthy but make sure you dont dehydrate yourself and over train your body. Take in moderation and take breaks even though you aren't tired. Depending on the weather, you don't want to have a heat stroke. So always bring cold water, wear a helmet and a heart rate monitor would be good too.

Riding a bike for prolonged periods is hard on the nerve ending in your seat and groin area. It has been linked to decreased sensation and sterility in men. You should invest in a seat appropriate for your sex.
