I actually agree with you on that. An Innocent child who dies w/make it to God's Promised paradise. Its just the thought 'Killing a baby' that haunts most people. People who are agianst it might have that feeling too. The are inocent & cant defend their own lives.

Why do you see it as necessary to "sacrifice yourself to eternal damnation"? If a person was to not go through with the abortion in the first place, there wouldn't be any need to do that at all...You can raise a child in the ways of the Lord, and the child will return to them the Bible says...They would then also go have an eternal paradise in Heaven, and have had the wonderful opportunity of life as well...Also, if someone were to have an abortion, that doesn't mean they are to be eternally damned to hell, unless they never truly confess of their sin in committing the abortion, or believe that Jesus is their Savior, and died on the cross to forgive them of their sins (abortion) etc...Hope that helps and God bless you for your interest in Him!
And BTW, the only unpardonable or unforgiven sin is not believing and accepting Christ as your Savior...

My what a twisted philosophy...i never thought of it that way...But nonetheless I am not swayed but here is your answer i guess - well from a Christian stance it equates to murder, it equates to putting yourself on the same level as God thinking that you have a right to take away life (because it is debatable in christianity just when life begins whether it is at the time of conception or when the foutus becomes viable - or able to survive independently of the mother's womb) - It can also be said that Children are a gift and abortion is to throw that gift in God's face - but yes esentially murder really.
But there are certain circumstances under which religiously abortion is allowed - that philosophy is called - the 'lesser of the two evils' if the child threatens the mothers life - i.e. the mother will die if she gives birth or carries the child then to save the mothers life is justified by aborting the baby - because the mother is alive and may have other family to support and so her death will have a greater impact - also if the child will cause harm to those around him/her (not sure how that one works) - but yes there - ultimately it is morally wrong as well - even if you do not take a religious stance on the issue.

A lot of people aren't getting your question because it isn't very clear. In your case, I believe you are saying that the unborn child is sacrificing itself for the eternal paradise of the mother. At least, that's how I'm phrasing my answer.
There is no honor whatsoever in sacrificing oneself so that another can be free to pursue a career or an active night life--which is why a large number of abortions take place. Also, the unborn child has no say in the matter whatsoever. No, no one should have to surrender themselves to the altar of death so that their mommy doesn't have to spend money on a baby-sitter.
Also, this life on earth is just a moment--the eternal paradise you speak of is much, much, much longer and after this life.
If, however, you are saying that the mother is sacrificing herself for the eternal paradise of the child, then no also. Nowhere in scriptures are we taught to sacrifice ourselves for eternety to save another. That saving has already been done by Jesus and any sacrifice that we might make would pale infinitely in comparison.

I don't know where you got that theory, but doesn't sound right to me.
There is no eternal damnation, sorry to bust your bubble there.
We are all on different paths to the same destination, home with God.
We all come into this physical manifestation with the knowledge, at the subconscious soul level, of our lives and we also choose the time and manner of our deaths. Aborted babies too. They get to go back to the spiritual dimension and start again in another physical manifestation, if they wish to. There is no such thing as death. Life is eternal. Just not life in this physical body.

Christians believe that life begins at creation. The very second of conception. It is a true being with a spirit, that God has created through the vesel of his faithful followers. When a woman has an abortion, she is putting herself first. Before God even. Christians believe that women should put their faith in God, so in situations of a woman's health, they should leave it to God to decide. It is murder, and therefore against the Commandments of God. However, I personally do not believe that this would equal eternal damnation. I believe that a person can repent, and come back to God with attonement for their sins. In my faith, we also believe that even though the child is not baptized, they still go to heaven, becuase God does not hold one accountable for a sin they persoanally had no control over.

Even if the pregnancy is considered an unplanned pregnancy it is not! God knew that my mother would be pregnant with me when she was barley being formed in my grandmothers stomach. He took the "mass of tissue" that I was and formed me to be who I am today. God has a plan and a purpose for each babe. That girl who's getting an abortion right now? She's killing off someone that might have ended this reign of terror. Who knows, maybe someone was meant to stop terrorism before 9/11 was killed by abortion. Abortion is murder. No excuse.

Well, it's murder, and that person is doing a sin so therefore that's the first argument against it.
But, God could have had a plan for that baby, sure that baby might go to heaven, but maybe that one little guy was gonna go to Africa, and show people how to serve, and live a life of bringing others to Christ and bringing hope to lost people.
You never know what God's will is, don't assume you do.

I believe that aborted babies will be cast into the lake of fire and consumed on judgment day. Nowhere in the Bible does it say babies are saved. What it does say though is that anyone without believing Christ died and raised from the dead will be cast into the lake of fire and this would include infants only. The idea that babies go to heaven is a man made doctrine to comfort the masses.

By that logic, we'd all be doing what Andrea Yates did to her children.
Noble as it might seem to some form of logic, it's ultimately horribly wrong, because if we have to commit murder (or any sin) in order to achieve something, then whatever is achieved is just as wrong as the method.
The ends do not justify the means...
p.s. Abortion does not automatically condemn one to Hell. I mean, we're all already condemned to Hell, but can be saved. If we're saved, nothing - even something as horrendous as abortion - can truly remove us from the Book of Life...but if and only if we're actually saved...
