From the founding of Christianity, it has waged war against all the pagan religions believers, against all the Muslim religions believers, against all the natural earth religions believers and against the Jewish religion believers. The history of Christianity has been one of bloodshed and forced conversion by the sword. In this it is nearly paralled by Islam, though one might perhaps considere Communism a State religion with millions of murders to its infamy as well as any other religion....SO,,,it would appear that murder is really the primary religion of the world...Maybe the Christians dont have to apologize after all, eh? Any opinions?

my ancestors had to live in constant fear that a Christian would report them to the government and they would be killed, I could never forget that

Christianity waged war against pagans?

For the first four centuries of Christian history, pagan Rome killed millions of Christians.

Christianity waged war against Muslims?

The crusades were Christian European kings' response to the barbaric overthrow of Christian Israel by savage Muslims. Read some history.

Where is your source for your accusations? They are baseless. Besides, Pope John Paul II The Great did apologize for some antisemitic actions that some Christians did in the name of the Church. I shall be anxiously awaiting the forthcoming pagan and Muslim apologies.

If you focus on people and what people do you will always see corruption, violence and power mongering using any means neccessary including that of invoking the name of God for the effort of concuring. However, if you study the Word of God you will see as well that any violence or bloodshed was done in an effort to erradicate violence and bloodshed using fire with fire tactics. Those so called natural earth relgions often led paganistic practices which constisted of burning ones own live children, prostituting daughters and all manner of sexual, food and biological hazard creating practices that God abhors..so don't be too quick to judge that there was absolutely no means or justification in trying to rid the world of that sort of element in order to pave the Way, the Truth and the Life back into our existance for those of us that desire that path. Considering that many murders and sins created in the name of any church or religion included just about every ones ancestors, I think we ALL need to apologize and not just hang all the blame for what every ones great-great-great-great-grandparents did (including yours) onto today's Christians.

they dont have to....sometime around 460AD, the Pope (Leo the II I think...) declared that the Church was without sin and infallable.

So, the Church isnt guilty of anything. As a matter of fact, during the Inquisition, the Church didnt kill anyone - the fu*king hypocrites tortured confessions out of people, then tortured thhem into saying that they gave their confessions freely without torture - and then they turned them over to the secualr authories to have the sentence carried out... Convenient, eh?

Agree with the above answers,I really must say.
As to answer,we all pay a dear price for our sins, and in a war it takes two 'sides' to participate.

We all,Muslims,Christians,Jews and all no matter of our 'religion' are guilty of deadly sins,so He who is without sin be the one to cast the first stone .

Are you talking about the building? A Church is a building, a Church is a house of worship, a Church is a place to praise God!

Or do you mean those who CLAIM to follow Christ???

Christ has never waged war on anybody, quite the opposite in fact, he said "to love your neighbor as much as you love yourself". And to even "to love your enemies and all those who wronged you".

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him" - John 3:16-17

Those who live by his teachings are true followers of Christ. "By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." - John 13:35

Those who do not do this, are not his.

Jesus said, "Do not judge others, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven." - Luke 6:37

God also said: "You shall not murder anyone." - Exodus 20:13

The world already has a judge, God alone himself. God said, "Vengeance belongeth unto Me" - Hebrews 10:30

As far as other world religions go, God spoke about this.....

" And God spoke all these words: 'I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. You shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing love to over a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments." - Exodus 20:1-6

Jesus said this...

"Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's ONE AND ONLY SON. This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God." - John 3:19-21

Throughout the Old Testament the only way to "get right" with God was to obey all the laws (the Ten Commandments and a whole lot more) perfectly for your entire life. Unfortunately, we cannot obey all the Old Testament laws—it simply is not possible—yet with God, we have to obey them all to be right with Him. So, now we had a problem. Within the Old Testament the temporary solution to this was many sacrifices—a way to push back our sins—but an inadequate way to “pay” for all our sins. People could never find or have enough sacrifices to wipe away all of our sins of the world. God knew this. That is why God sent us Jesus. To be our “perfect” sacrifice, to be our Savior. To wipe away all of our sins, no matter how bad we think they are, Jesus wipe them away with his death on the cross. There are over 300 prophecies about the Messiah in the Old Testament, all of which had to be fulfilled by the Messiah, and Jesus fulfilled ALL OF THEM. The mathematical probabilities alone prove that only Jesus can be the Messiah.

Since we can't keep all the laws of God perfectly, God set it all up through Jesus and His perfect life so that we could have a relationship with God. In other words, we could "get right" with God through Jesus. Now, having that relationship with God through His Son Jesus, we learn and grow to be “like Jesus” in the way that we live our lives as we become more godly as an outgrowth of our relationship towards God through his one and only son.

Jesus did this just for you. Because Jesus loves you.

"Jesus loves me I know, because the Bible tells me so" - Jesus loves me: song lyrics.
