Men have no idea how hard it is for us women to be ladies! Leading up to my question. Ladies how long did it take before you started burping, passing gas, or using the toilet (number 2) when your boyfriend or husband is around you or in the house.lol It's silly but I have yet to do any.I usually wait until he goes to work and its killing me lolololololololololololol

I have never had a problem doing this, it is all normal body functions, if I didn't do this stuff in front of my hubby, he would think something is wrong with me.

Me and my hubby have burping and farting contest all the time. Its a good way to laugh at each other.

I have been with my bf for 4 years, after a year or so I didnt feel embarrassed about anything. He does it all the time, why cant I? It's something perfectly natural and not healthy to hold in...he shouldnt have a problem with that...so dont be embarrassed. It's not like I purposely pass gas or burp in front of him; ...but if I have to use the bathroom I will.

I didnt do any of those until about 5 months into my pregnancy, mostly cause by that point it was almost impossible to hold in! We had been together.....I think about a year then. As far as burping I still dont do it out loud, more because I have a habit(probally learned it when growing up) not to burp outloud period. I do this weird inside burp thing, hard to explain.

Ive known my husband for 3 1/2 years and Ive never done these things in front of him. He has seen me go to the bathroom while out camping though, and of course if a burp escapes unexpectedly, I say EXCUSE ME!!! He has never held back his farts or burps much to my dismay!

you won't believe this - my husband and i have been together 12 years and it wasn't until 2 years ago that i farted in front of him. we have 2 3 year old boys and a male dog, and i finally decided that everyone in the house farted all the time, so why was i walking around with a stomach ache?! i finally just cut loose & i feel much better, but still a little embarrassed sometimes :)

In a couple of 4-5 year relationships (my record):
Burping: eh, probably a few months. Gas: gross, don't be that couple that has toot contests. Seriously. toi-toi #2, you gotta get over that or you'll get bowel obstruction! Do it when he's occupied or right before showering.

poor thing! funny question.

Me too. Married almost 2 years, delivered children infront of him and still can't go to #2 with him awake in the house. It's funny to me that I can't, but I just can't. Burping didn't take long cuz we drink beer, never farted either. Best wishes

Well ask a silly question get a silly asnwer I say =)
BUT my best friend told me when I was 15 (I am way older now ;p) That you know you love someone when your able to pass gas in the same room with them....So I guess the question you have to ask yourself now is if you love him ;)

I think it's a good question. The answer varies though. It depends on how much your stomach hurts by holding it in. Sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do. It's normal, but girls were always told it wasn't lady-like. Just make sure you don't get sick from holding it in.

You're so funny, I hadn't given it a whole lot of thought. I've been married now ten years, and he has seen and heard and unfortunately smelled it all. I would say probably after our first year of marriage. it was just one of those things that i just said "forget it it's a human thing and if he doesn't like it then, he can get over it."
