What Are the Symptoms of IBS?
The symptoms of IBS are usually recurring (meaning that a person will have bouts of symptoms on an ongoing basis rather than just once or twice a year). People with IBS often notice their symptoms flare up at certain times - for some people it's whenever they eat a large meal, for others it may be when they're under a lot of pressure or stress. Some girls notice that they get symptoms of IBS around the time of their periods.

The primary symptom of IBS is pain or discomfort (bloating, etc.) in the abdomen. Of course, if you have a stomachache, gas, or bloating once in a while, it doesn't mean you have IBS. People with IBS have at least two of the following symptoms:

pain or discomfort that is relieved when a person goes to the bathroom and has a bowel movement
pain or discomfort that is accompanied by changes in a person's regular bowel movement patterns (for example, the person goes to the bathroom more frequently or less often)
pain or discomfort that is accompanied by changes in the way a person's stool (poop) normally looks. Some people become constipated and their stools become hard (and difficult to pass); other people develop diarrhea.

The first thing that comes to mind - is if it has been happening for several days. If so, make an appointment immediately with your physician. Before your appointment, try to collect as much information as possible - when did it start, were you exposed to someone who was ill, did you eat food in a foreign country, have your eating habits changed - have you introduced any new foods? Or any eating/drinking habits that may be problematic? Are you on any new medications, vitamins, anything ingested that you can think of? Do you have any other symptoms...open sores? Is there blood? Pain? nausea? Tell your physician all of these things and be prepared to tell him what medications and dosages, if any, you are currently on.

I would imagine that you may want to drink a lot of sterilized water to flush out any "bug" you may have and keep hydrated - even something with electrolytes but get your instructions from your physician since something that works for one person may not work for another.

Might be time to see a Doctor. Try not eating for a day or two, let things settle down inside. Try some pepto bismol if you haven't already. when you start eating again eat a SMALL amount of white rice and then wait a couple of hours, see how things are doing. If its OK, get back in to eating rather slowly. But you might want to get to a doctor.

You might be dehydrating or you could have some sort of stomach virus. Did you ever have your gall bladder removed? Sometimes when you have your gall bladder removed, you have to run to the washroom shortly after you finish eating. It might be the weather. Sometimes the weather can make you feel ill. If it persists, then you definitely should see a doctor about it.

Well if this has been going on for more than 2 or 3 days, I'd see a doctor. That's definitely not normal.

You see a doctor, because it's not normal. You may have a stomache condition or something that is irratating it. Either way you should see your doctor because I'm sure it is bothersome.
