Do you want to get her to the US temporarily (ie. for a visit) or permanently? Based on your answer to this, your girlfriend will have to apply for either an immigrant visa (for example, as a spouse) or for a non-immigrant visa (tourism, business, student, etc...). This website is VERY helpful: http://www.unitedstatesvisas.gov/

Also, you or your gf should contact the consular section of the nearest US mission. The Embassy website is here: http://beijing.usembassy-china.org.cn/

Great website for information. www.uscis.gov
go under forms and complete the I129-F. It is a petition for a fiance(e) visa. It allows her to come here as a nonimmigrant. Once she gets here you guys must marry within 90 days. It usually takes 9 to 12 months before she is allowed to come.

Take at least 10,000 American money to China and ahead straight to the Ambassador then see what happened.

Other than marriage, the only other option is probably a student or visitor visa, but those would not allow her to stay permanently.

You could get her temporary visa. That is either a student visa, or a fiance visa. If you contact INS, they will tell you what paper work to use.

Hurray. The key word here is legally. One of my parents immigrated to the US, legally. Thank you.
