In most Japanse styles...

Kyup means rank... and is used to denote the colored belts before black (5th kyup, 4th kyup). This word is "Gup" in Korean styles like Tae Kwon Do...

Dan is used to denote ranks in black belt in place of the word "degree". 1st Dan = 1st Degree Black Belt

As far as technique and move terminology, I've found that such things aren't the best idea to use with kids when they should in fact be more concerned with technique than with terminology. Terminology can easily be learned later but poor technique is very difficult to unlearn so make sure all of the focus is on proper technique...

For sparring, it's best to learn hajime (begin) and yame (stop) because those terms will be used in tournament competition and are relatively simple terms to learn

The only other terminology that I reccomend for children is teaching them to count to ten (ichi, ni, san, shi, go, roku, shichi, hachi, ku, ju)

How could you get to be a 2nd degree black belt and not know your terminology? You do realize that there are many different styles of martial arts, from many different countries. The terminology would be different for each. I study traditional Japanese Shorei and Goju, the terms would be much different for Tae Kwon Do, which is Korean. Perhaps you need to go to your Sensei (instructor) for some help? I wouldn't teach anything that you got from people you don't know, especially if you don't know if it's correct or not.

It depends on what art your doing, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Brazilian, etc.
Do a Sensei says (Simon Says) game with the kids and say a term (chudon-yoko-uke) and then the first one to do a chest block wins one point. The last one to do one looses one point. Keep track, and when a kid reaches 100 points (or 50) then reward them with a sticker that they can wear on their gi through class.
Good Luck

Don't use complex words and try to be mystic.

Keep it plain and simple!

Don't use "spinning back hook flying kick"

Keep it to something like "right kick, left round house, right front kick"
