1 mile only burns 155 calories. That's half of a candy bar. If you don't eat the candy bar then you save yourself that 1 mile walk.
If you measure each step as 1 foot and there are 1509 feet in a mile, you would have to walk 22.6 miles or 34,074 steps.

There is no straight answer to this question. The factors vary immensely. It depends on how much of an incline/decline you are walking, the pace you are going, if there are breaks in the middle, how much the person weighs, how fit they are/aren't and what their base metabolism is. 5 people could walk together and all 5 have a completely different rate of calorie burn with all of those factors included.

I don't know. But if you walked 2 miles in a hour that is 300 calories.
