The favorate saying of the athiest now a days is Christians are terrorist just like the Islamic Radicals...
The only thing that they can come up with is the crussades- ancient history- a war fought by both sides- in the name of God but God did not disire it...
Power hugery religious hypocrytes that only wanted money and fame ordered the crussades, they were not really true Christians anyway, they did not obey the Bible...
The Bible teaches love towards others...
"Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them who hate you, and pray for them which despitefuly use you and persecute you."- Matthew 5:44, the Bible
But the Quran teaches the following....
"Fight and slay the pagans( Christians Jews and non-Muslims) wherever you find them, and sieze them , beleagur them, and lie in wait for them in every strategem (of war)."- Surah 9:5, the Quran
Well the Muslims that are Radical obey Allah's word...
The Christians that are not really Christians disobey God's word...
So who are the real terrorist know?
NOTE TO MUSLIMS: I am not saying that all Muslims are terrorist, No there are many peace loving Muslims, but it is in the Quran....
May God bless you and your family

First of all, Christians do kill in the name of their God. Charlemagne, the Crusades, Tomas de Torequameda, the Salem Witch Trials, the god-fearing folk vs. the so-called "savages" otherwise known as native Americans, Hitler, the guy who bombs abortion clinics, and so on and so forth. History is a beautiful thing.
Mostly, atheists that I know attack Christians more as a self-defense thing. A good offense is the best defense, you know? A Christian's solemn duty is to bring others into the church and to that end they'll do what they have to. Moreover, the basic assumption of the religion is that only Christians are "saved", everyone else is going to hell. The inherent superiority and inferiority in this paradigm is one of the most offensive things about the religion. The fact of the matter is that culturally speaking, good people go to heaven and bad people go to hell. If someone was good, they wouldn't be bad enough to go to hell. I think this is why purgatory was invented. Now to the Christian inference--you're going to hell because you don't believe the way I do and I want to save you from it--add: hell is for bad people.
Whatever religious dogma defines hell, the simple fact is that the icon of all evil, Satan, is the lord of hell, right? Why do people go to hell? Scripture says because they weren't saved, culture says because they're evil.
It's not that Christians are bad people or that Christians are wrong for believing the way they do. It's that Christianity itself makes a horrible character judgment based on whether or not a person is a Christian and Christians follow through with that judgment, whether they intend offense or not, because that's the word of their god.

I am not sure why atheists attack Christians and I don't believe anyone has the right to attack anyone on their beliefs. I can't speak for everyone but I am catholic and respect everyone on their choice of religion. I don't attack or down anyone. I just think people should mind their own business and leave other people alone. That way we can finally have some peace.

They don't have an answer to life's questions so they feel they have to attack those who do, either that, or they just want to be rude.
You can believe whatever you want to, if someone comes to your door pushing religion, it's best to be nice and say you're not interested then be mean and nasty.
Some people think that there is no proof of God. They think that unless they can see it, it isn't real.
I'm always persecuted for what I believe. People say I'm not christian and that my religion is wrong and I'm going to hell, so it isn't only the atheists who do the bashing.

Two things.
1. Most of us are Americans here, and so we are familar with Christianity much more so than Islam. Also, just because Islam is the worst, doesn't mean that Christianity is innocent. That is a false dichotomy logical fallacy.
2. I am highly critical of Christianity. However, I am no so concerned with the mere fact that they are Christians, but rather how the vast majority of Christians influence our society. Namely, issues like abortion, stem-cell research, evolution education and the like. Because of their dogmatic beliefs, they are unwilling to rationally and objectively engage in open discussions on these matters. That is harmful. Since a fruitful discussion on those relevant issues cannot be had, I address the foundation of those dogmatic beliefs, the dogma itself.
I make no apologies for being critical. I wish someone was equally critical of my Christianity earlier in life. Bottom line, I answer questions critical of atheism with the same honesty as my answers about Christianity. I am open to all ideas, but highly critical of those grounded in illogical and irrational dogmatic belief.

why does ANYBODY attack others beliefs? because they want to prove that they are right. everybody does that no matter what religion or if theyre atheist. and christians have killed in the name of god. not all of them are inclined to do so. same applies to the muslims. the people that kill for religious reasons are the extremist and every religion has them. so why should a religious group, in this case the muslims, be attacked for the behaviour of a couple of extremists, who clearly do not follow their religion in the way it was intented?
if you dont think that any beliefs should be attacked (which i agree with you), then dont give suggestion of people to attack.

Why do Atheists constantly attack Christians?
Why do Christians constantly attack Atheists?
Different beliefs are just going to clash. And if you want a peaceful forum (remember, wars were started over religion) maybe you should go to the knitting forum.

They don't understand why we believe in our faith so strongly. Any time people don't understand something they want to attack it. Atheists do attack Muslims, Jews, and all other forms of religion, but since Christianity is more familiar to them they attack us more often. By the way Muslims don't kill people terrorist do.

Honestly, I think that athiests (in the US anyway) haven't been oppressed by any religious groups except for the Christians. Also, perhaps they are a bit scared of attacking Muslim beliefs these days because it's such a tense issue.

It is funny Atheists don't want to hear about "God the Father", "Jesus the Son", or" the Canceler the Holy Sprite". They don't want you to ether. They want to force everyone to think as they do. No room for any other ideals but theirs.
As a Christians I don't force my faith on any one. I will tell you what I believe, and why. I can't make any one to believe as I do or control their faith and what they believe. Yes, I would like to see everyone I know and love believe in Christ and God's glory. To be with me at the end times. But I can only plant the seed of faith, then it is up to you to except it or not.
