I met a guy the other day, and we hit it off really well. A week later, I found out from a friend that knows of him that he has a reputation for picking up girls just because he can and is desperate. So today, it was hinted by his friend that he is going to ask me out soon. I have no idea what to do! I liked him until I found out about his reputation. I've put myself into a werid situation, because I had already shown him that I was interested (before I found out). I do not want to go out with him, but I don't know how to kindly say no when asked out. I want to be honest, but I don't know what to tell him. Please help!

just say no... but you really aren't giving him a chance to disprove his reputation. How would you like it if some one didn't date you be cause "I heard from his brother's cousin's neighbor's dog's trainer's uncle's sister that..."

First of all.....you are listening to idle gossip. Second, you are allowing others to control your life and influence your decisions. You need to make your own judgements and decisions. Perhaps some of these "friends" who are telling you have an ulterior motive. If you want to go out.......then Go. If you don't want to......then Don't. It is real simple, sweetie! Don't discuss your personal life with everyone and their brother....you don't need their approval. Try acting like a mature person. Remember, "Loose lips sink ships"

Well...you totaly beleve theas rumors? You think they are 100% true? Guess it's possible, though it would be the first time in history.

And you can just say 'no' if he asks. Heck, even toos in whatever rumor you heard and throw a drink on him or slam a door..

Nothing wrong with going out but you don't have to let him in your pants. Sounds like he wants to put another notch in his belt.
