Ruben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Zebulun, Issachar, Dan, Gad, Asher, Naphtali, Joseph (From which two come Ephraim & Manasseh), And Benjamin. So I would say actually 13 families because of Jacob's elevation of the two tribes of Joseph to be equal with the others. But later, the tribe of Levi becomes the possession of God in substiitute for the 1st born males. Eliminating the tribe from land gifts for future generations. In essence, scattering them amoung all the tribes. now we are back to 12.

In Revelation & Exekiel the final temple of God has 12 gates and the names on each of the gates are Ruben, Judah, Levi, Joseph, Benjamin, Dan, Simeon, Issachar, Zebulun, Gad, Asher, and Naphtali.

While some could claim 13 tribes in reality there are only 12 as Joseph is again one tribe in the future as well as Levi.

There were only twelve tribes of Israel. Not 11, not 13 or more, but twelve. If you read your bible you will find out that the Levites were not numbered among the children of Israel. The Levites were appointed ministers to the tabernacle. They were to keep charge of the tabernacle of testimony. They were servants of God, chosen ministers of the church. Read Numbers the whole chapter 1. So now you go to Revelation 7, and you find that the 144,000 chosen from the 12 tribes, that one of those tribes were replaced with the Levites. which means that one tribe that was numbered along with the twelve will not make it to the kingdom.
I pray for you. Amen

P.S
The names of the twelve tribes in Revelation 7 are the names that will appear on the twelve gates mentioned in Revelation 21:12

We come from all tribes, no longer easily Judah. do not be fooled by using the names sounding alike. The Levites even carry some precedent above others interior the synagogue. Moses wasn't a Jew until eventually God handed down the Torah, or perhaps then there grew to develop into into no such be conscious for it. Abraham grew to develop into properly right into a Jew. He grew to develop into into the first to be circumcised. Israelites grew to develop into into the Biblical call for Israelis, that does no longer mean being Jewish in any recognize. DR. B: The Kohanim are the clergymen, no longer the Levites. The Levites have a diverse responsibility completely.
