What would they do if they caught me? For that matter, as a foreigner, would I even be able to find an ample job to feed myself?

I realize the answer may very A LITTLE, depending on the country in question. Does anyone have any info on this?

Some countries will deport you back to the US. Others may lock you up in their prisons - which may not be as nice as the US prisons. Better to immigrate legally.

You can look info up online for many countries. For example if you immigrate to Canada you need a sponsor, a job, pay approx $1500.00 fee (+ 2nd fee if you choose Quebec Province) and you have to work steady the first 5 years. Many countries also limit certain jobs to their own citizens.

Example: Many Canadians come to US to work, but Construction Trades are off limits to them.

What country are you interested in?

Well if you went to Mexico you couldn't get a Job By Law. You wouldn't get Free Health care, No Free education, You would however be Deported NO QUESTIONS asked. And to think all that from a country that demands we be nice to Criminals Don't Figure.

Generally speaking, you would have trouble getting a job or finding a place to live. In many countries, even in western Europe, one must register one's presence in a town with the police when one intends to stay there overnight. (This is usually done by hotel-keepers without saying that's what's happening, but it is required of them by law and would be by a landlord, too.) When apprehended, you would be arrested, your illegal status would be ascertained (usually with a hearing), and you would be deported at your own or your country's expense.

Snicker. Don't expect free school health care or the ability to protest, particularly if you go to Mexico. In fact. expect jail if you go to Mexico. (Although they are trying to change that part of their law because it kept coming up when they told us to allow free immigration here.)

In most of them you would be jailed and eventually deported. In some cases after you had served a prison sentence for your crime.

You will be deported back home, where you will be viewed as a traitor, and queued for death penalty in Texas, where the president will personally give green light for your execution.

You won't get treated like a king the way illegals in the US are treated....I would suggest you not try it unless you like imprisonment and torture and some unwanted sexual advances.
