How would you let the person know without hurting his/her feelings?

I'm curious...from past experience.

Bring it on guys!

Obviously you must care about someone you would ask such a question about. No you cant continue to date if the problem persists, its unfair to both of you. So tell him you have a problem, and discuss it with him. To try to avoid some feelings problems tell him its probably just chemical, or maybe that your too sensitive. If you can show him that it isnt an excuse to quit dating him, but rather a desire to resolve problems and move on, he will do what he can to resolve the problem. He probably has no clue that it bothers you now. Good luck to both of you.

If my girlfriend had bad breath or b/o, I'd tell her straight up. I'm not the kind of guy who beats around the bush with such trivial matters. Besides, once she gets over herself, she'll find that I did her a favor by pointing something out that everyone else is too polite to say themselves.

Just for the record, if by some chance she wasn't able to get over herself about it, I would dump her and find someone else.

Of course I would! The odour wouldn't really bother me, I mean if she can't help it..sometimes Deodorant doesn't work well for some people. I'd understand it's kinda normal..the bad breathe I could help with a mint and a kiss for my girl ^_^

No.

It is very difficult to get people to change. As a pet project you could try but if you don't see immediate results then get out.

Tip #1: Try showering together. Make it a routine then he might get used to it.

Tip #2: Take him shopping for cologne. Have fun researching which scents you each like until you find one you both enjoy.

Tip #3: Bring your mouthwash over to his place and leave it there. Suggest, "Hey, try this." Hopefully he will.

buy him a set of cologne, deodorant, soap set. Almost all dept stores have them. You can even do this online. Find a scent you like.

i don't think i would start relationship/date if he/her smelled bad. but if it starts after, maybe it's a medical probelm. he may have some problems with his glands. maybe suggest he visit a doc if the above doesn't work?

Just drop off some supplies for them when you know they are not home and leave a note stating that their body odor needs to be fixed with these products.
