All I have to go by is God's Word. When God created Adam He made his body out of the dust of the ground, He breathed unto the breath of life (the spirit) and Adam became a living soul. Genesis 2: 7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. 1 Thessalonians 5: 23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Yes as the Bible says we are made by the spirit, soul and body to glorify HIM if we are born again christians and believe that Jesus Christ died for our sin so that we may go to Heaven as a "FREE GIFT". When we die, our soul goes to Heaven and body remains on earth (dust) just as when God created Adam from the dust. We will have new body in Heaven with no blemish or scars but all new body! I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!

I take spirit and soul as the same thing. I would say more body, mind and spirit. All squished together into one.

Can someone explain to me the difference between your soul and spirit? I thought they were synonymous.
