Another Christian scientist said, "Creationism is an incredible pain in the neck, neither honest nor useful, and the people who advocate it have no idea how much damage they are doing to the credibility of belief." [quoted in Easterbrook, 1997, p. 891]

Everyone has there theories and beliefs but christianity is catching all the flack for trying to convert people if you look at it objectively everyone is trying to convert everyone else towards there beliefs every time they talk about there faith or belief or say something negitive about another persons faith and beliefs.
Your doing the very same thing you accuse christians of doing by posting this question.............

somone once said "He who is without sin among you, let him throw the first stone. I'm not going to say whosaid that for that would lead to a different arguement. i'm saying it as good advice given.....

Creationism *is* neither honest nor useful -- and strict creationists (those that claim the world began some 6,000 years ago with Adam and Eve and was made in 6 days) just look incredibly stupid -- given the huge, overwhelming evidence against such an occurrence.

That said..."Christian Scientist" is an oxymoron...:)

yup

christians are tasked with converting people to christianity to "save them" as it were. But when converting people to a belief, it helps if that belief is credible.

It was the catholic church that denied the earth rotated around the sun.

it was the catholic church that denied the world was round (even though greeks a thousand years before figured out the radius of the earth).

Creationism is just another futile attempt by the church to maintain its grip. They dont want to admit that science is right once again.

It could be one of two things:

First, it could be someone using existing beliefs to convert someone to your way of thinking, by making it more acceptable. Christians did this by taking a pagan holiday, yule, and making it the birthday for their savior. The easter holiday is a similar bastardization of a pagan holiday.

The second could be that he is not a very good christian, and a half hearted scientist. He's adopting something that evidence exists for, and changing it to fit into a still unproven belief.

Who cares? What we care about is what God said, not what some dumb scientist says....
