Has something written in this forum has made you think that there is a God out there responsible of your life? Or have you always been stubborn all the time and refuse to at least think about it?

Nothing said here has every made me doubt my lack of belief. As a matter of fact, all the silly things that Christians say here to try to get me to believe in God only push me further away and make my atheist beliefs even stronger.

What YA has convinced me is that some people believe in god just because they can't use their brain properly. I've seen some of the worst examples in "formal logic" here in YA.

I used to believe in god though, so, been there, done that. I considered it, I considered other options and I finished being an atheist. Maybe you are the one who need to try the other side, shouldn't you? Or are you too stubborn and refuse to think about it?

examine my sought after verse interior the Bible: Isaiah 40 5:4-7 (God creates evil merely as He creates each and everything else). in case you're complicated on human beings for their earnings, why could you have faith something in yet otherwise approximately God? strengthen is very almost continually a painful technique, made extra painful if we gained't choose as quickly as we expect of we are waiting for loose will. loose will demands a physique, an ego, and angels don't have those, nor does Lucifer. Lucifer is basically an angel who exchange into the 1st to settle for an ego (and loose will), yet exchange into then forged out of heaven. Lucifer's proper is the earnings of humankind, yet together with his very own glory instead of God's. and since the pinnacle Honcho is the source of all issues, He has an ego, too--surely, the biggest ego in existence. which you will Lucifer's plan, he reported: "Screw you, hippie! you think of i'm doing all of this so as which you will have the credit?" the belief of separation from God is basically loose will: so, you may have freedom in evil or slavery to goodness. There had to be yet an alternate determination, so God reported: "enable's provide human beings the choice to decide on."

Why give God all the credit for everything and the world. Maybe it was a guy named George. Do you have proof that god exists or is it all in your head? If you were told the dinosaurs or the frogs had a god, would you believe that is who we should follow? I mean I don't know, maybe it was another species who is responsible for all this. Who do you know is right. It's just a belief and I'm sorry but I don't believe in God. I respect everyone and their beliefs. I'm one of those people who won't believe it until it is proven. I don't believe God is responsible for my life. I believe sex and cells were responsible for my life. I've been baptized and everything (because I was forced) but I'm just not a believer!

Used to be a DEVOUT Christian. Then I wondered why God kept letting people lie in his name. Why did He keep letting evil and bigotry and judgementalism (like calling anyone who doesn't worship their God "stubborn" that kind of thing) be the banner so mant "Christians" held high? Why did he let the EVIL run his CHURCHES- greedy, self-centered men and women who use CHRISTIANITY as an excuse to say rude and horrible things and keep segments of society in fear and agony?
Why were there so many RICH Christians? Didn't the bible say it was easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than a rich man through the gates of heaven?

I guess I didn't refuse to think about it. And my conclusion was if this was the world God wanted, then maybe I was worshipping the devil.

Not once have I considered believing in a God from anything written on here. Valid points have yet to be raised. And yes, I've always been stubborn....that's what attempted brainwashing for 12 years at school does to you!

I haven't been stubborn, I was once Christian and believed there was a God, but then I realized I felt cold and alone. Where is God when millions of people are starving and dying in Africa? It's absurd to think that someone who "loved" us would let people suffer so much.

I was a Christian for years. I was totally convinced in my ignorant faith. I say ignorant because I never learned the foundation of my faith, I just accepted it on its face. Once I examined what I actually believed, and found no evidence for it, I went from agnostic to atheist in a matter of months. I always had a strong scientific background, but never applied that worldview to my faith until a few years ago.

I, as are most atheists I've met, are very open to new arguments and new evidence. The simple fact is the vast majority of theist "evidence" is very, very weak, at best. At worst, most of it is illogical and contradictory.

Nevertheless, I maintain a Thomas approach to God (any god). Thomas, who one of Jesus' best friends, who supposedly saw him walk on water, raise the dead, and feed the masses, didn't even believe that Jesus had risen from the dead.

I, just like Thomas, demand similar proof. Jesus gave it to Thomas, and if he exists he can give it to me too. I mean, if Jesus' best friend didn't believe the apostles, why should I 2,000 years later without similar proof?

No, I never even thought about the valid existence of a christian deity when I was a christian (I was a child so at that time the choice to be christian was not mine to make).

I've studied christianity in college along with the other major world religions and that just reinforced my own views. I respect your right to believe in christianity however, I exercise my right to be an atheist.
