Oh yes. I used to be so unhappy. I am now full of peace and fulfillment and joy. I know people don't like bible verses quoted, but since you brought it up *smile*..the bible does say "the truth shall set you free".
Jesus: "I am the way, the truth and the life".
He set me free.

Nope, I remember telling the truth to my mother once about something I had done (went into a bar and was served at 16) and for YEARS she kept bringing it up, saying she couldn't trust me, etc. The truth put me in a virtual prison.

No..but I guess that depends on the situation LOL someone always gets hurt when the truth comes out on most situations thats why ppl say the truth hurts so why lie ? telling the truth made me feel worse cuz it meant hurting someone esle .. sniff

if your referring to jesus as the truth then yea. when i was lost in sin sin made a prisoner of me oh sure i thought life was just fine livin the way i wanted to but then jesus stepped into the picture and when he did i started seein how my life was actually in shambles and when i seen the sin in my life and how it affected it then yeah i was a slave to it at the time it wasnt clear to me but jesus reach down and plucked me up out of all of it and freed me froem the bondage of sin. i know you may not understand it i didnt either but jesus is the truth the way and life and the bible says also that were the spirit of the lord is there is liberty (freedom) any sinner does not have this liberty so they dont know it to be true but when someone is under conviction and they finally give into the lord and repent the freedom that person feels at that moment is beyond compare to anything in this world at that moment there is no question in your mind as to is there a God? does God love me? is there any point to serving God? at that moment you know and at that moment your free its an incredible expierance.

Yes it did. I told the truth about my addiction to God and my problem went away. I am so happy.

Yes because then the worry and dread is gone. Everything is out in the open and everyone else gets to deal with their reaction.
