Sparring partner?

Question

I am a 3rd dan in TKD and I am looking for a saprring parter in Utah.
what can I do to find one, at my level etc...
help !

I know that. I also looking for sparring partner. But it's very hard .
Not like Boxing and Karate or Kick boxing,
In TKD, there are big difference between Black belt and not-black belt in sparring.

Because, in TKD sparring, Only kicking is allowed.
Most of non-black belt does not have flexibility.

It's hard to kick opponent's head and knock out when you don't have enough flexibility in your leg.

And there are many counter attacks in TKD.

In boxing, you don't really avoid punch.
You just weaving and duck and have less chance to get hit.

But In TDK, weaving is meaningless. If you see Kick boxing sparring, they don't really weaving or ducking neither .

And Couner attack is not easy to learn if you don't have enough sparring.

You don't want someone at your level, try to find someone above you that you can learn from. Go to different Dojangs and ask the Masters if you could take a sparring class with them.
If I know Tae-Kwon-Do Masters, they will either do it or find someone for you so they can charge you out the ying-yang for it.

i am a 2 dan but in ok i would love to help but you need to search at the schoools clase to you to start with

Look at the local competitions...
Or consider cross training in another Korean art which might expand your contacts...
