There is no absolutely perfect anything. Many artists have used the Golden Section, but that has not transformed Art. There is nothing magic about it. I tried it for a watch dial, but I think the Cartier "Tank Louis Cartier" looks better, and many people agree. A few watches have Golden Section Rectangular dials, but others look better. I did win a prize in a painting exhibition with a Golden Section canvas, but the judges may like my subject, technique, etc. more than the shape of the canvas.

With painting and photography, you'll have a picture with a pleasing composition. Pretty much the same as when you apply the age old 'rule of thirds'. With a video camera and a golden spiral, you'll get an endless loop. But it will take more than that to produce anything of artistic value.

the golden section is not an invention but it appears in nature, and it is a law that exists in nature. Maths helped then to describe it (the monk Luca Pacioli discovered and explained something that was already in nature). Nothing will change in art, unless you want to distort something that is very rooted in us

You can't just apply a formula to something and suddenly it becomes art. Go do an art course!
