Ooookay Sparky. Lets put the brakes on here for a second and think about this. No matter what your ethnicity is, at one point in time of this WONDERFUL countries history, your ancestors were considered "illegals" too. Think about where you are today. If your ancestors were kicked out of the country, things might have been different, you, possibly would not even exist.
The "illegals" that you refer to are a vital part to our economy. They pick the fruit that you speak of, and you say that you will pick your own damn fruit, but I don't see you out in the fields. Now if you really want to get angry at someone, get angry at the people who choose not to make a life for themselves and they insist on living off of the government, off of our taxes. Those are the people that we do not want here. The illegals atleast work and will come into work even if they have a broken leg. They know the meaning of work.

I think we need to have some compassion, while ensuring the borders are protected.

Most illegal immigrants are desperate. They have no money, no prospects of earning money, NOTHING in their home country. They are impoverished, starving, living in shacks. There are no JOBS.

I don't blame them for wanting a better life for their families. We put up these artificial lines to say that "we" are entitled to stuff, while "you" are not. It is sad that we do this actually. It assumes that there's not enough to go around.

I do think for now, the borders need to be enforced and I think your anger is better directed at an impotent government. But I ALSO think that richer nations have a moral obligation (in addition to the fact that it protects our own interests) to assist poor nations to grow their own economies and build basic infrastructures so they can have opportunities in their own countries. There would be a lot less hatred of us if everyone had a full belly so it's a win-win situation. And perhaps we should stop USING the poor nations by employing their citizens for slave labor at absolutely unbelievably paltry rates. We ship our jobs over there and use them, then, when their economies start moving as a result, we pull out our operations there and take them to yet another 3rd world country where rates are even cheaper.

I do think we should have some compassion for those desperate enough that they cross treacherous terrain in dangerous conditions to earn a buck for their families.

Biggest problem I have with Illegals, is not what they do, is what they don't do.
First off, they lower the value of work...why pay an american 12.40 an hour to take calls, when a mexican will do it for 6 an hour?
Second, is the legal costs. In the border states, the clog up the ER with cases that can't pay, sue if something gets botched, and then the hospital has to close, because it can't make ends meet, making the community suffer.
I'm thinking, if we want to solve the problem, let's do 3 things.
Make life here, the same as it is in Mexico....restrict the heck out of things, until they become american citizens....they can't own cars, get healthcare, own a house, start a business, and they have to learn english. Institute that policy, and the Mexicans will go home.
Second out, would be is to make that wall a reality. Enough druggies jump the line as it is, or tunnel under it, fix the problem pronto....go ahead and make it secure. When enough people die trying to get in, maybe they'll fix thier own country, instead of wrecking ours.
Lastly, is make Mexico play fair. They like to steal our money and healthcare, and their country is a pile of crap. Send them unions, make them start paying better, or we'll close the border to their goods, or heck, annex it, then the Mexicans wont have to leave their own land....they'll just have to find work down there.

i hate the fact that mexicans STARE!!!!!!!! at a girl i swear the next time i see one staring at me or my girl im gonna stomp his enchilada ***. but i mean we do need them here.. the money they spend does have a big impact on our economy but its not like we cant survive if they left cuz the other people would take thier jobs and we would be right back to square one.but maybe even better. they work for 4 an hour picking lettuce. if they left and americans took the jobs the have to make minimum wage which would mean more money in our economy.

I think that's not right of what you've said...If their country has got out of hand & their family members got killed in a bombing,sniper, or such wrongful deaths, They have every reason to come to america but they must learn to speak english like other foreigners who come into other countries such as this country. So don't tell illegals to go back to what ever the hell they come from b/c you wouldn't like it if someone said it to you if you were in their country.
