In an email exchange with a friend, she suggested:
"At the García caves! (those are some caves just outside Monterrey, Mexico). There is a "room" with 2 skylights on top where the light enters, outside is day but inside is night and the skylights would simulate the moonshine!"
Does that sound romantic and memorable, or does it have the potencial for a flop? Would you like it or not?

id consider it romantic if my boyfriend gave me a ring in a bathroom stall...in other words ANYWHERE...don't be picky...but the setup does sound romantic and memorable and i would love it

It sounds very romantic, but if your girl is the kind who would worry about bats and dirt and grime and is slightly afraid of the dark, it might be a bad move. Maybe take some candles with you so you've got some soft mood lighting?

I would absolutely HATE it, but I'm claustrophobic, and won't even go into a cave, so I'm probably not a good judge.
If I DID like caves though, it sounds very romantic and memorable. I would just be unconscious and unable to enjoy any of it.....sigh....................

only if she is open minded and enjoys different things like that. If she does, she'll love it that sounds beautiful, and many caves would allow you to have a wedding in them (when you say they are touristy I'm assuming that these are caves like the ones we have here that you have to pay an entrance fee and all that jazz) so you could always have your wedding at the same spot you proposed (if she is REALLLLLLLY open minded of course, lol)

Yes it would be memorable and it sounds gorgeous. So yes it has the potential of being romantic. Just don't drop the ring.

do what feels right!the most romantic moments can happen anytime anywhere! I think the cave idea is great, personally. Do some planning and make her feel special!

No not really it sounds kind of cocky, do it at night on a building roof top or something. A proposal in that kind of place is freaky. good luck though!
