they originated in Buffalo NY. the owner of a bar&grill hade a teenage son who came in late one night with some friends. they were hungry so she cooked them wing tips that were very spicey (trying to teach them a lesson) the kids loved them so she put her wings on the menue. now buffolo wings are world famuse

Actually, the "buffalo" part of the title refers to the sauce, it was first used for a chicken sauce in Buffalo NY. Yes, usually chicken, but turkey wings work just as well & have more meat!

First made popular in Buffal NY at the Anchor Bar and Grill on Main street. Best place now to get wings is LaNova's Pizzaria. I've lived most of my life in Buffalo and can tell you that when visiting other places I've allways had a laugh at what they call "Buffalo wings". They have to be deep fried nice and crisp THEN coated!
If you search on the two palces listed abouve the are known to deliver overnight in a sealed box. I've sent a couple of orders to buddies in Iraq who were home sick. Ain't cheap, but it was worth it.
