It is summer right now and my mother often goes out in public and out shopping in tank tops with exposed bra straps underneath it and I feel it isn't appropriate, what is the best way for me to tell her about this ?

I personally would rather see that than see a female that is wearing a top that over half of her breast are sticking out, because the top is so low. Or the women that are at the lake and have a top on that just covers hers nipples and more than half of her breast are showing.
Moms are always trying to get the daughters to dress decent and here we have a daughter that is doing it, that is a switch. But I don't see any thing wrong with it myself. My own daughter wears spaghetti strap tops and her bra strap is showing, so what is the difference? Look at it from another point----at least she IS wearing a bra, that is more than I can say about a lot of other women that think it is soooo sexy going bra less and I think that looks sooo nasty.

i'm slightly at a loss for words. i ought to make certain if her bra became putting out, or she became wearing miniskirts or something...... yet those days, maximum women's tank tops have spaghetti straps and maximum persons women basically placed on an same bra with straps that adventure. I do it, and that i see maximum different women and young women doing it. I dont' imagine that's irrelevant in any respect. in some circumstances wearing a strapless bra seems worse and doesnt' help suitable. huge deal.....that's only a bra strap.It seems a lifeless ringer for a strap it is on the different suitable except it takes position to be connected to her bra. that's unlike she's walking round in undies or something.

Listen I feel the same way you do. Except it's summer, I had my friend's mother walk up to me and pull my bra straps over so they were showing. Yea, figure that one out! But really it's summer, and it's hot and I think it's ok for the summer. I do it, sometimes. You have your ways of dressing and she has hers. Did it ever make you think she wants to be a hippy again, or she just is trying to relax! Just tell her what you think and if she still wants to do it, then sorry for you. Hey maybe she does know they are hanging out, but she doesn't care, ever think of that?

Nothing wrong with that ! She is still alive and kick *** good looking and the mall is still open. She can buy and wear what ever she likes. How do you feel if someone told you " you can wear that !". The malls loves these can of customers, because they are the working class and they work hard for their money !
Can you say " You look beautiful " ! Try it !
Be positive.

It depends on how old your mother is...and what she looks like...
If she is, lets say, above 50, i agree with you. It seems not to be appropiate. But if she is a young mom, and tank tops look nice on her, then i would ask her to wear transparent straps...

my mom is real yung an prety shes only 29 an im 13 i cant tell her nuthing shes always teling me stuff she liks to war shorts an sometims whan im with her a lot of men lok at her even som wan to tak to her shes the mom an im the son so i dont think it rt to tel her anythin she barely listens to me anway i thin u shuld leve her alon caus shes ur mom an wats so bad abt a tank top or her waring her bra

Actually, be glad she is WEARING a bra! What is not appropriate is hanging out and see-thru shirts with no bra on underneath!

Who says it's NOT appropriate??? You see skinny/thin people wearing more revealing things & what your mother wears and nobody gripes about them. It's none of your business really on what your mother wears. However if you are REALLY bothered by it then talk to your mother but also let her know that you understand that she does not have to check her clothing with you. She may be understanding to you.

Tell her that you know that she likes to feel comfortable with what she wears, but let her know how you feel. She probably doesn't even think that there is anything wrong with what she is wearing. Just tell her in a friendly way, I'm sure you don't want to insult her.
