Like "i love you honey" or something that expresses how much she loves him?
Slang would be ok. I mean, i dont want to sound funny or poetic, just an everyday vocabulary.

I love you (a woman to a man) is: "ani 'ohevet 'otcha".
Pet names:
* "Chamud" (cutie) will be ok, but sometimes (with the right diction) it sounds patronizing, because this adjective is mostly used on children.
* "Motek"/ "matok"- ditto
* "Mamy"/ "capara"/ "Neshama" (respectively: ~I have no idea~/ my penance/ my soul. Well, we defenetly use it in our everyday language, but it sounds a bit "frechi"; "arsi" (if you know what I mean). these words are a bit girlish, and if you're not Israeli it would sound funny and not very serious.
* "Yafeh sheli" (my pretty) is a very good term in your case.
* "Yakiri"/ "'Ahuvi" (my darling/ my beloved) would be my choice, if you truly love him. If you don't- the effect will be inverse and it will give your whole letter a sarcastic character.

ani ohevet otach- it means i love you. And to you guys who just said let's bomb Lebanon, who started this war? Not Israel. Nope. Israeli soliders were taken and that's what started it. Hezbolah. Don't go around blaming israel for defending themselves.

"I love you sweetie" would be "ani ohevet otcha, motek". It's not slang, but it is good common spoken Hebrew. (Putting in an extra "et" is ungrammatical; the "et" is built into the "otcha".)
