do you use a public(owned by a city or state) or private utility? (like PGE)

$0.1116 per kWh. Kenai, Alaska. Electric Co-operative (HEA). Board elected by "members" which is basically everyone on the grid. Was $0.0833 7 years ago. Mostly, their natural gas costs have inceased.

FWTW: Natural Gas (basic share-owner owned monopoly, Enstar) is $0.78/therm, $7.80/mcf, up from $0.60 in 7 years.

After the $9.00 per month charge, the cost of electricity, including taxes, is about $.10 per kilo watt hour. I am tied into the grid via a local electrical coop company.
