Does antbody know where i can buy "whitehouse" dressing?

The dressing is for salads, it is white and creamy thick, for making pea salad.

I don't know where you can buy it, but here is a recipe for it:

WHITE HOUSE DRESSING

Small Batch:
2 1/2 c. white sugar
2 c. vinegar
2 c. vegetable oil
2 chopped green peppers
1/4 can pimento
2 chopped sm. onion
1/4 c. prepared mustard
1/8 c. salt


Large Batch:
5 c. sugar
1 qt. vinegar
1 qt. vegetable oil
4 green peppers
1/2 can pimento
1/2 c. mustard
1/4 c. salt

Mix sugar, vinegar and oil until sugar is dissolved. Chop peppers, pimento and onion together. Stir ingredients together. Let stand for 3 hours before using.

I don't know where you can buy it, but you can make it yourself.

Here's how:

White House Dressing

1 can tomato soup
1 1/4 c. salad oil
2/3 c. vinegar
3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. dry mustard
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. onion salt
1 cove garlic, chopped fine
Pepper to taste

Put all ingredients in blender, blending until well mixed. May wish to reduce amount of sugar.

or

WHITE HOUSE DRESSING

1 c. white sugar
1 c. white vinegar
1 c. vegetable oil

Stir until sugar melts.

1 green sweet pepper
1 sm. can pimento
1 med. size onion

Grind these three together.

3 tbsp. prepared mustard
3 tbsp. coarse salt
3 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

Mix all ingredients together. Let stand 3 hours. Makes 1 quart. Keeps indefinitely if cool.

In my grocery store in the produce section you can purchase Litehouse Dressing. Great Blue Cheese and Ranch.
