Victim or not, Israel was viciously attacked, many times over the years. The War is not about just the two soldiers, it is about putting an end to an Islamo-facist organization that has attacked Israel for what should be the last time. Israel wants to live in peace.... what the hell is wrong with the Islamic world, are they just ignorant or do they just like to KILL anyone they can. This Islamic terrorist crap is also happing in places other than the mid-east. Islam will LOSE big time before this is all over. Islamo-facists will lose completely, in fact they were losers before they started this War with Israel. Thinking they can hasten the return of their messiah by starting a major conflict is at the top of the stupid list.

I think Israel is the victim of the US. The war that they are fighting is only a reason for more U.S. military presence in the Middle East where the oil is. It is an excuse for Bush to eventually attack & occupy Lybia & Iran. Just like Reagan got Israel out of Lybia 20 years ago with only a phone call, Bush could end that all today.

No. It's about Hizbollah. The UN has had peacekeepers on the border since the war in 1983 in order to keep Hizbollah from building up stockpiles of munitions, etc. They've done a heck of a job, eh? Hizbollah has used homes, schools, mosques, etc. for munitions, and they hide among the civilian population.

While trying to remove Hizbollah, Israel has to be on constant alert to avoid innocent Lebanese and peacekeepers. I suppose they're still in the area because they didn't know a war was underway.

The Israelis are trying to help the Lebanese build their government, while the International Community dithers on the sidelines.

Well, in the 48 hours before Hezbollah took those two soldiers, they fired 150 rockets into Israel. 150 rockets in two days. Hezbollah had fired somewhere in the neighborhood of 3500 rockets into Israel This Year alone.

How many rockets would a terrorist group have to fire into your country before you retaliated? I know that in the US, they would have never gotten as high as 150. One rocket fired into a sovereign nation is an act of war. Ambushing, killing, and kidnapping soldiers of a sovereign nation are ALL acts of war.

Hezbollah has declared war against Israel. Israel has simply agreed with Hezbollah's interpretation of events.

Israel is defending Israel. She has been surrounded by enemies, - Hezbollah, Hamas. Syria, Iran. and all of the other Arabs who have made it clear on a daily basis that they would like nothing better than to wipe Israel off the map. If Israel is to survive, she can not afford to be weak. Frankly, we should have let Israel take out Iraq for us. They'd probably be done there by now.

If this is what it takes to get back 2 soldiers, so be it. All Israel asked was there 2 soldiers returned and hezbollah pull back so there rockets can't hit Israel cities, now to me thats not asking a lot. if anyone don't understand that it's this way, "give us our men and stop shooting at us".

NO. Hell no! Israel is finally (TG) showing it's true colors! I thank all the good powers that be for this. Israel is the epitomy of special interests gone wild. It is time this war end. And since we obviously can't end it with a show of force and thousands of human sacrifices, it is time to bring our people home.
In case people aren't aware what this is in reference to...when Israel is pissed off they bomb civilians, including areas that have media and American soldiers. Uncle Sam is their big bad back up buddy and yet they purposely bomb sections with our people in it. With friends like this, who needs enemies?
Dear Uncle Sam,
Please stop backing up that two face jerk Israel, and bring our people home. Yes, please DO start backing US up for a change.
Signed,
A Citizen

This war is just like pregnant woman, nobody know what is going to be born. But what I know is that bombardments/blockades could never free Isreal soldiers in the hands of Hezbollah.

Israel is not a victim. It has never been a victim. That's their propaganda at work, portraying them as victims, so they get support.
