Religion is flawed and written by man.
Admit it you fell for it.
No logic in religion, only faith.
These reasons are enough for most people.
But then you have the weak minded people, who need a reason.
Except that the world just is.
Why does anyone need a God.
What happened to the Greek and Roman gods.
Did they Die because people like you don't worship them anymore. Oh that's right, they weren't the one true God.
How do you know if your God is the one true God.
Because the Bible tells you so. lol
How many things were taken out of your Bible through history.
I know your going to say that's not true, BUT IT IS! And you don't even know that about your own Religion.
But to be honest I can't say there isn't one. But I can say it's not your God as it is written in your Bible.

I do not hate god, or have anything against him. I didn't leave the Christian faith because I didn't respect god, or because I disagreed with his laws. For me, it was simply education. I've studied religion, history, mythology, and philosophy extensively. And to be quite plain, there is no way to study these subjects, and not become an atheist. The bible is disproven. The existence of a god is not disproven, but there is certainly no reason to believe one exists. (Other than the threat of hell, which is part of the religion that I mentioned has been disproven long ago...)
It took me many years of study to be completely convinced of this fact. And therefore, I don't attempt to write a thesis on the subject here, every time another theist asks a question about it.
However, as myself and others have posted, there is a very nice site, that explains, in simple layman's terms, why the concept of god is a myth. And here it is again... :)
Edit - Oh, and furious chemical.... I'm working on it. :)

1) there is no credible evidence that says there is an all-powerful deity able to perform miracles.
2) There is overwhelming evidence that refutes religious teaching.
3) the bible has many contradictions in it. I wouldn't expect that from a book either written by a god, or inspired by one.
4) There are so many different religions, claiming so many different beliefs. A true god who loved his subjects would show them the one true path, rather than let them go to hell.
5) the god described in the bible sounds like a brutal being. Sending plagues, killing all the first-born, an eye for an eye, selling your own children into slavery... This is someone that I should worship? No way.

I have to get ready for work soon, but here's a couple of reasons for you.
Not that someone will become an Atheist over it, since these reasons are obvious and overlooked everyday.
Reason # 1
Research history, how many gods have ppl made up over the years?
Egyptians gods, Greek gods, pagan gods like pan- goat god (whose symbol was taken and made into the satan symbol, by Christains)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horned_God ( scroll down till you get to the paragragh that talks about satan)
How many ppl believed in those gods with all their heart as well? The Christain god isn't the oldest one eighter, not by far.
Reason # 2
Read the bible, it's amusing, but all non-sense.
Parting sea, virgin birth, talking donkey's, getting every single animal to hop on a boat with you, a whale swallowing someone, it could be a walt disney movie, if it weren't for all the death & violence.

I can't pinpoint a time when I wasn't an athiest, I was the kid in church who asked why we had dinosaurs and if God was so great why was he invisible. What has reinforced my Atheism is working in an trauma center E.R at a inner-city hospital. I have seen atrocities that made me wonder how their God would allow these things to happen, how he could hurt those he presumed to love and yes, I do always hear the argument that these are crimes of man, and yet we are a man created in his image? Where is his benevolance? I see someone die nearly every day by brutal acts or by simple mistakes and no where do I see their God's mercy.

When I was a kid I was raised to be a catholic.
The most important event in a Catholic's life is the first communion. Just before this event the Nuns gave us a talking to. One of them related this story (that turned out to be, like all of the other stories they told us, a lie)
"there was a BAD boy who took the host and did'nt eat it right away. Instead, he took it back to his seat and when he thought no one was looking he BROKE IT! And then BLOOD came out. That boy became a priest and then a Bishop because of it."
So, of course, like any other imaginative and intelligent kid, I wanted to see the blood. So, shaking with fear some weeks later, I took it back to my seat and before my parents got there, I broke it.
Of course, nothing happened. So I started to doubt. Why would god send this kid a message and not me? Why would god play favorites. It took me another 8 years to finally pull my head out of my rectum and leave the church, but I've never looked back.
God doesn't play favorites because he doesn't exist. Pretty simple really.

Because there is no reason to not be an athiest. There is no evidence for a god of any kind, and no logical explanation for his existence. Because the world is so hosed that there could never be a loving god who would allow this to happen. Because there are hundreds if not thousands of religions, and they all claim to be the only true religion, so most of them are wrong, and the overwhelming evidence is that they all are.
Theists are not intelligent to deconvert.

For me, the final straw was when I realized there was no credible evidence that Jesus had ever even existed, and that the simplest explanation was that he was pure myth.
There was a lot that led up to that point, but that was the final moment at which I realized I was an atheist. (I never chose to be an atheist BTW, as the religious nutters like to believe).

I am a atheist because I feel that at this point in my life I don't know much about God, so I am atheist until I have the time and the energy to study up on somethings.

Screw one theist, we need to sidestep the thumpers and get their hogwash out of our government. We can't help anyone on here by educating them. It's just not feasible to convert people. We need to expose religion as ridiculous in front of the masses. It's time us atheists had a blockbuster movie!
