I recently broke up with a guy that I had been dating for 6 months and after we broke up he told me that he had cheated on me a couple months prior to our break up. I knew when it happened and when I asked him if it was true he lied to my face and said no that he loved me and that he never touched the girl. So wtf? why be lower than s**t and lie?

Because they are two-faced and would rather tell you a lie and not hurt you, than tell the truth and maybe hurt your feelings a little. I mean, to me it's not all that serious that you have to make up a dumb lie just to make people feel good. That's really wrong and bad and people will probably not believe them in the future after they find out that it was a lie. I really don't like two-faced people; they really urke my nerves!

For me, there are circumstances the position it is better to lie, and circumstances the position it is better to inform the reality. to that end, the reality appears like the logical answer. i ought to not often call ignoring their calls and making up some poor excuse a "white lie". it really is merely being careless and avoidant. If this individual is a chum, they are going to understand once you've an major dedication to bypass to. it is better to be straightforward. I hear that!! Get this...my best friend of 5 years, over the last for months has been having an affair and instead of telling me about it or that there was even problems in her relationship, She lied to me. Over and over again. How stupid. She should have just told me. I always tell people the truth. Even if its mean!!

probbaly because they are afraid or they think their doing you a favor by sparring you the details. Personily I think the truth is the best policy, that way the person can grieve over the situiation and get on with ther lives, instead of adding salt to a wound ,trying to figure things out I know this sound negative and it is, but I think communication is the key

Tell the truth because even though it may hurt or make me mad, I'll eventually get over it and respect that person for telling me the truth.

And if youre on a relationship, a lie might destroy it, so if it's not SO important, ppl prefer to lie.
some ppl don't ever notice it.
