I think that it's the absence of carbs that helps you lose weight. From what I've seen, the protein diet really works, especially for people who are obese. You have to coordinate this diet with a doctor though, since it can be somewhat dangerous. This diet isn't recommended for people with only a few extra pounds, but slightly reducing your carb intake tends to help you lose weight.

No, if anything it would help you gain weight. Protein is only good if you work out alot. If you eat a lot of protein and don't burn it into muscle it will sit and eventually turn into fat cells.

No. Only exercise and low-cal diet can lose your weight. Don't trust those junk tips, no pain no gain (actually you want to lose...)

as far i can tell from when i used to use the stuff, no not at all. i actually gained weight, and when i stopped working out i had flab.
