I would like to learn spanish and I have heard that the computer program "Rosetta Stone" is a good way to learn. Has anyone used it? Did it work? Was it worth the money (It's expensive!)?

I've heard nothing but good about Rosetta Stone. The sales rep at a conference told me that the only problem was that people seldom perservere into disc 2 or 3 (but the same thing happens with more traditional programs)

They will send you a demo disc (a few lessons in ALL the languages they offer) and you might check your local library to see if they have bought any kinds of rights. I'd definately try the demo and see if the format works for you before you spend all that money.

I have not used it myself however nearly every body I recognize who has is lovely unhealthy on the language they studied (regardless of pondering they're fluent). It turns out like a well additional complement however you'll be able to usually uncover different well ones for a million/10 the fee. I suppose discovering a textbook for self research or a category that matches you works so much higher, so long as you combine it with a few listening train and something you'll be able to uncover on the net. Learning a language should not be THAT high-priced. Put that money closer to a aircraft price ticket to Italy, it'll serve you so much higher and be plenty extra a laugh.

I haven't used it, but I know the best way to learn any language is to have a one on one teacher who can sound the words out for you. In this program you have control over how many times you replay pronunciations, and you can go at your own pace. I've heard great things about it. I'm learning Chinese now from a lady who doesn't hardly speak english. That's fun. Oh, but I'm learning much quicker.

I have never used it, but if you would like more answers to your question you can type in Rosetta Stone reviews in your search engine and you can read report from different individuals. I order Instant Spanish (beginning version) from worldstart.com I think it was $9.00 and it is wonderful.

Best Wishes,
