Its not the age gap but the character gap you have to worry about, you are grown up and she is still a child, she will be a different person by the time she is 20, its not a huge gap, so go for it, but dont expect a lifelong relationship, know that at 16 shes got a lot of changing and growing up to do.

If shes under 18 and you are not then YES the age gap is TOOOOOO big! Dont do it unless you want to go to jail because thats always a possibility unless she has some super understanding parents I know if MY daughter dated a 22 yr old and she was 16 I would put him in jail regardless of the circumstances!

It not wrong, but wait till she's 18 and knows a bit more about what she wants. If she wants you, great!
I went out with a 32 year old girl when I was 23 and things were great but we were at different stages in life. She'd lived more and knew what she wanted and I still didn't have a clue. Stupid me.
Age difference seems to be more a problem for other people. It depends of the rules of society. My father is 11 years older than my mother. They just celebrated their 32nd wedding anniversary. They married after some six months of going out together. Her first marriage was at 19, because of an unwanted pregnancy, to the wrong man. You don't want to play that game yet. Really.
In your case, you're both "still young" and "need to find out who you are", etc. Its only six years between you. Discuss it between yourselves. Communicate! Relax and remember that the fuel for love is romance! (and friendship and passion and understanding and compromise and...)

No its not exactly wrong but some people may think your a bit old for her like her parents maybe but at the end of the day age is only a number and if you both like one another then thats all that matters, but just make sure she is sixteen or you could find yourself in a bit of bother if you decide to sleep with each other further down the line.goodluck,xx

If you had a daughter would you think it ok to her having a 22 year old boyfriend? now think of it really could you see your way to letting your 16 year old off on a date with a mature man? feel different about it now ? when she is 18 she will still be someones baby but she will have been given time to grow mentally, right now she is still a child if you want her badly enough let her go if its meant to be she will seek you out later.

Well for one thing it's illegal. That's the most important issue. However in a few years the age difference won't mean a thing. For instance when she is 20 years old, you will be 26, that might be perfect ages for the two of you to be a couple. Good luck.

It is not wrong for you to be having feelings towards this girl - 6 years age gap may seem a lot now but is actually nothing!
What is wrong is that it will be illegal for you to have sex with her without parental consent, as she is under the age of 18! Mad, huh???

Yeah I think it is wrong right now. You can go to jail for that! If she was at least 18 it would be different. Plus she probably not as mature as you would want her to be.
