Pigeons er protective parents and build their nests in dark secure areas away from predators.
And when the babies are old enough to leave the nest they have all their adult colors, so you cant tell a 3 month old pigeon from a 5 year old pigeon.

Because by the time they leave the nest they pretty much look just like the adults. If you closely examine pigeon in the spring..you may notice that some look a little fluffier than others..these are the "babies", and also you would be able to tell the babies if you saw one pigeon being fed by another.

Because they're all at pigeon school learning how to poo on people's heads, shoulders, nice clothes etc...... and if they keep missing the target they get thier foot amputated, that's why there are so many stump footed pigeons in the country - those are the ones that are a poor shot!

Because pigeons are born adult.. They are fed steroids whilst in the womb by the father pigeon and creatine to promote muscle growth... The mother then swallows stones which filter into the womb for the unborn pigeon to start pumpin and working out with... HONEST..

I'm not sure on this, but probably because they are still in the nest. Pigeons (Sorry if I spelled it wrong) usually live in old broken down buildings. So, the babies are usually still up there.

if often wondered this, until the time came when i had to give a helping hand to some wood pidegons that were nested in a tree that my neighbours wanted cut down....
they were still in the nest, but they were pretty big for babies, i reckon people see young pidegons alot more than they think, normally the youngesters look thinner and more wingy than the elder ones.

You do, you just don't recognise them as such because as birdgirl says, birds are pretty much fully grown when they leave the nest for the first time. Apart from being slightly fluffy, or without their adult markings, baby birds can also be recognised by the fact that their mothers are still feeding them.
