If you came across a drunk homeless bumb laying in the street who.....?

despertly needed CPR and you were the only one around, what would you do.

the more interesting question is: What the heck is a bumb? Must be something alive as it gets drunk and has a home or did at one time. It could be an animal, but who would make an animal drunk and not stick around? I'm guessing a bumb is a muppet. Imagine trying to give it CPR its little furry arms flopping as you pound on its chest. The bright plastic fixed eyes becoming glazed.

I would call the ambulance on my cell phone and would not mess with them to much except to divert traffic. Just because someone knows CPR does not mean they are a doctor and know why someone is unconscious. I messed with a person once who got run over in front of me and got chewed out by a paramedic for laying the person on her back because they might have choked on their on spit or blood. But if I had to I'd give that homeless bum CPR with my hands covering there lips just to be safe.

PoohP is a dumbass. I probably wouldn't even be able to tell if the bum is in desperate need of CPR in the first place as I don't often just walk around on the street in my town, so I suppose I just hope it would never be an issue. I don't want friggin mouth herpes!

Sounds like a situation that happened to me about 25 years ago.

Was in a small city in NJ when I happened upon a homeless person who had been hit by a car. He had been running into the street to wash windows when he was struck by a hit and run car.
He was laying down by the side of the road. His arm was mangled and bleeding. I had a passer-by go into a local store to call 911 while I took off my shirt and wrapped it around his arm to minimize the bleeding.

After a few minutes I was cold so I went up to my friends apartment to get another shirt and while I was up there the police and ambulance arrived and took the guy to the hospital. A month or so later I met the homeless guy on the street and he thanked me for coming to his aid. He told me that if I had not wrapped my shirt around his arm he might not still have it.

call 911 and find something to put over his/her mouth (plastic, hopefully) before starting CPR. It's not a choice... it's an obligation/duty/whatever....

Don't know CPR, but I would stay with him and call from the cell.

I would do the chest compressions and call 911 which is the most important part but my honest answer is I would never in a million years put my mouth on him.
