i recently had my hair highlighted at the salon, didn't like it, so i frosted it to add more highlights. it came out really bleach blonde. now i tried dying it to a medium brown. the brown stayed in for a couple of days, but faded. now my hair is really weak and falls out alot.

Too many chemicals on your hair will damage it, and it can break off. Is that what you mean by 'falling out'? Back when I was in high school, I used to dye my hair pretty often. I've heard that dying can actually be good for your hair if you do it semi-regularly (not sure if this is correct or not). My mother, who is in her 50s, stopped dying her hair because the bleach would make her hair brittle. She's letting it grow naturally and it's much stronger and thicker than it used to be. So using too many chemicals will damage the hair. If it's falling out by the follicle, and not just breaking off, there might be another problem there.

dyeing/coloring your hair won't make it weaker, but bleaching it will.
And a permanent on top of bleaching is just a disaster.

I think the double dose of highlights did the damage.

it WILL grow back in again.

ya youve really damaged your hair! do not put another chemical on it of any sort. wash with cold water only, and deep condition it with a GOOD deep conditioner, not one from target or walmart, at LEAST once a week. it will take a very long time for your hair to fully repair.

Bleach ruins your hair, it's not going to FALL out but it will get fine and break when you try to brush it. i bleached my hair from black to red and it looked horrible i ended up cutting it all off and waiting for it to grow back to the lenght i wanted it. i still die my hair but i'm never bleaching it again!

it depends how extreme and different you make your hair color...like if you have black hair you cant go platinum blonde...cuz then your hair probably will fall out
