Their are so many web sites on the high cost of illegal immigration and now their is this one that says the opposit, so if this one is true please accept my appology for the unkind things I have said about illegals not paying taxes. The Anti-immigrant and think tank forum has one set of figurers, and the National immigration forum has a different set of figurers, so who do you believe, I don't no any more. Please check this out.

I would like to say I no illegals cost us money when it comes to our emergancy services, and schools, I am still against illegal immigration, they are breaking our laws, I realize now that site was just talking about immigrants not illegal immigrants. But I am still not sure about the tax issue. I still lean toward the high cost of illegal immigration.

I actually had to look at your Q & A to see if it was really you saying that.
1. Some illegal immigrants pay taxes.
2. Your paper says 'immigrants' and only in a couple places breaks out illegal immigrants, such as with the unmatched Social Security accounts, which everyone knows about. (At least, I did.)
3. It is no secret and really not the slightest bit controversial how much they pay in taxes because they have to pay into government accounts.
4. Even when you take into account the taxes they pay, my understanding is that about 1/3 pay tax, and generally claim a number of deductions.
5. Even if all paid tax, poor people pay very little tax and pay little of the cost of the education and other services they use. That is the reason we limit the numbers of poor people who can immigrate. Otherwise we'd say 'come one come all, but pay taxes!' and would just screen criminal records. It is an economically losing proposition.
Also, locally funded services such as schools and health care have been disasterously impacted, and the taxes pay tend NOT to be the sort that cover those services.
My big problem is degraded education, not so much the extra $1,300 per year I am estimated to pay as head of household of a native born family, due to illegal immigrant costs. The schools are failing, and my children's education with it. I can choke down the $1,300 out of empathy, but not the $30,000 per year it would cost to send my children to private school while I also have to come up with money to finance their coming college and my own eventual retirement during the same period of time.
Here is an old study that would have my cost (conservatively calculated) at $1, 100+ but it is a couple of years old, and I have seen higher numbers. It does take into account the taxes paid however.

The document refers to both legal and illegal immigrants. I heard and read similar information from newspaper articles, newscasts, etc. I tend to believe it is a fair analysis.
But let's not confuse these figures to relate to illegal immigrants alone. I do believe all illegal immigrants pay some form of tax such as sales tax and property tax (which is included in rent). I don't believe all illegal immigrants pay income tax. Although a fair amount of illegal immigrants pay income tax via using an ITIN card or a fake SSN card, I believe a large number of illegals get paid under-the-table with no income to report to the IRS.
Thank you for sharing the document. I think it is a fair assessment of immigrants in the US, but don't forget it includes both legal and illegal immigrants. My guess is that legal immigrants skew the data to be favorable for all immigrants in general.

All of the statements in the file you linked to are about "immigration" in general and not ILLEGAL immigration. There is a huge, huge difference. If whoever made that chart broke down the "immigrant" groups into legal and illegal immigrants, the "myths" would almost all in fact be "truths."
Blurring the distinction between illegal immigration and legal immigration is a common strategy used by the pro-illegal crowd to support their positions.

Figures can be used anyway a person wants to represent them. Don't count on either side for the correct answer. You can however look at your local government and they will tell you illegal immigrants are costing you the legal taxpayer alot of money. Heck, I'll make it easier for you to make a decision - visit your local emergency room. You will find 95% of the patrons who are illegal immigrants with no insurance. Guess who's going to pay for it.

Any organization can make figures dance to prove their point.
Take the statement:
There are 1,000 people who have aids this year. Last year there were 2,000.
One side can claim that we are winning the war on aids because there are less people infected this year.
The other side can claim that we are losing because 1,000 people died of aids and that's why there are less.
All I can state is what I know from my illegal friends.
They don't pay taxes!! They know they are not going to file income tax and so they claim 6-7 dependents on their w-4s and have nothing taken out for state and federal taxes.
They all apply for fuel assistance on their power bills (no ssn required) get free food from churches and free medical at the county hospitals. And they tell all their friends so they can do it as well.
Most shop at only mexican owned stores and businesses and do not contribute to the economy except to buy gas and pay rent.
The rest of the money goes to mexico.

nothing like spining lies. I don't know where to start to debunk this.
Let me ask you, what set of figures would you need to be convinced that Nasco is going through the middle of the country, the SPP is scheduled to dissovle America where it doesn't exist, and it's all based on how many immigrants they can get up here, so Bush can take your future away.
If English wasn't a problem and they want to learn and use it so bad, then why are they suing Geno's in Philly?
So many lies. They want you to give up your country. That is the end game.

Thank you for being a person of integrity and being able to say you made a mistake.
You did not make a mistake you were lied to by people that dont want to see amnesty and would lie about anything they can to deceve the masses but the truth will come through.
All these lies come from anti mexican groups that dont want the truth to be known so they inflate the real numbers.
Every thing we say is the truth we want you to research it!
