Voting is the LEAST amount of allegiance that you owe to your country. Voting is not a right, a responsibility, or a duty. It's a debt that I owe to you and you owe to me as co-equal citizens in our democracy. Pay up.

Sure, it's good to vote. It's even BETTER to vote after educating yourself on the issues instead of just blindly taking a position, maybe because someone else did, like some guy you met at the bar. Many good people have fought and died to preserve your right to vote. Don't let them down.

Say, "Blondiee", I'm proud of you and think you're on the right track, but don't ignore the other side of the ballot. Once in a great while, someone from the other party will be eminently qualified and your party candidate will be a bad choice. Use your conscience.

As long as you are informed about what you're voting on, very much so.

The current administration is Republican, so if you want to continue seeing jobs sent overseas, unjust wars raging, the environment getting worse, the government taking your rights, vote Republican't.

You always vote. If you think you didn't vote, you actually voted for "whatever everyone else wants".

YES!!!!! That is how we make a difference in our country. It is a right, and a privilege, and anyone who does not vote has no business complaining.

It's absolutely insane and stupid as hell and totally irresponsible not to. And I mean in all your local and State elections as well as the national and Presidential elections. And running for local office to start a "political career" would be the ultimate in maturity, responsibility and sanity. Maybe I ought to get started. God Bless you.

the stupidity of this question amazes me. Not as much though as someone under 18 advocating a straight ballot. A one post forum is frustrating :[
