Why do some people quote to following are not sin:
adultery/premarital sex
homosexuality
anal sex
masterbation
Scripture and common sense would provide the answers that God would prohibit these practices.
I just listed a few but there are more that I cannot remember now.
It saddens me that personal views override what God says in the Bible. Are those being realistic in their views or choose to believe your own and hope it agrees with Scripture?
Remember, it isn't your personal views that will punch your ticket to heaven.

They don't get the simple definition of a sin - something that is against God's will. When I was serving a religious mission, someone asked me how I could say pre-marital sex was a sin, when for him it was such a positive experience. I gave him that simple definition of the word sin, and suddenly he agreed with me.

I totally agree with you. If people would just open a Bible and READ it, they would find that God is against many things, including what you have mentioned. Ofcourse most people are readily aware of the 10 commandments, but most people don't realize that there are many other things God considers sin as well.

what people dont understand and what some of you fail to understand is: God looks at the heart, he looks at a persons motive, is a person's wish to do what pleases God? if it is then they wont be concerned with the do's and don'ts they will know what things are simply deplorable to God based on his word. there will be many people who didnt "do the bad stuff" and still be condemned because of thier self righteuosness. seek his truth

Well I'm not a Christian, so I don't believe that your scriptures are the be all, end all word of god. I tend to think that, as long as what you do dosn't hurt anyone, you should be allowed to do it.

Sin is transgression of the law. Several of those are against that law, some of them are not.

Study the law if you want to know what is and is not sin.

Show a sinner the book of Revelation. Once they hear it, it will become more clear to them.
