Some drop subtle clues, others stick their tongues in your mouth. Depends on the girl. Some subtle clues might include her making an obvious effort to change her appearance when the two of you are just hanging out together or she might start talking about how she wishes guys that were more like you would ask her out. Asking is a good thing - just go ahead and get it out in the open. If she's showing flirty signs, or doing things like touching your arm and laughing when you make a joke, making eye contact with you constantly, etc. Read into the signs, get some alone time with her and ask her plainly if she's interested. The worst she could say is no, and then you can just pick up your ego and move on ;)
